hi everyone!
i got married in october, & prior to the wedding, i lost about 20 pounds [over the course of a little under a year]. now, since moving states away & in with my husband, i have gained some of it back, due to unhealthy eating & slacking on exercise.
i've found i do best when i have the motivation of a community, so i thought i'd put this post out here to see if anyone else is in the same position as me.
in the past, i have gone about weight loss in extremely unhealthy ways, such as restricting & working out to extreme limits. in essence, starving myself. i never want to go back to those habits, so i am in search of healthy inspiration & motivation. i want to change my lifestyle in small ways, rather than with an extreme diet or exercise plan. i want to do something that i am able to maintain.
this is just an intro to say hi & to let you all know that i will be around here, reading for inspiration & perhaps posting some of my progress toward hopefully becoming a healthier & more well-rounded person. so, hi!

Re: ready to get healthy & lose some weight along the way.
Hey Lauren!
I'm right there with you. We got married in Novmeber and I'm seeing the scale tip a little to far for my liking. I've started tracking my food on sparkpeople. Have you used any of their sites/apps? Helps keep you accountable. Just a thought!

Look at www.Advocare.com/120433477. That will take you directly to my website page for Advocare. I would look at the 24 day challenge if I were you because the first 10 days is a cleanse to help gently and safely remove any and all toxins from your body to get optimized for weight loss. On day 11 through 24 you will start with meal replacement shakes which will greatly help your calorie intake and nutrition. Plus the MNSMax 3 will help with your Energy and appetite control. This is a great jumpstart for your weight-loss plateau. It's very important to look at the meal replacement and snack bars. They are all high in protein which our body needs to keep our Metabolism going. Plus they all taste absolutely delicious and are loaded with vitamins and nutrtion.
I eat Advocare products everyday for 2 meals and never feel hungry and know I'm getting complete nutrtion and yet losing weight.
This is not a scam and is a serious and good weight loss product. I hope you will have a look and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I am now up to 45 pounds less because of Advocare since April. You can contact me anytime at jennifer_73@att.net.
Hey Lauren. Definitely would start tracking your food just for a idea of exactly how many calories you are eating. Just start one change at a time, but MOST important is just eating real food. No offense to the pp for her shameless advertising but please don't get fooled into spending money to drink shakes or whatever ( I didn't bother looking at what was advertised but I'm sure it's a meal replacement shake so sorry if I'm wrong) . Eat real food and exercise even if it's just a small amount. Especially with your past troubles which I have been there also just keep focused on the big picture of better health not fitting into a certain size. I hardly come here much because most of the people moved to another board and it seems like now it's all advertising here so if you want come visit http://pandce.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=hf.......there are tons of women who encourage weight loss in healthy ways. Good luck!!!!
I am not trying to shamelessly advertise, I am trying to help others to achieve what I myself have. I started my diet with weight watchers and realized what a waste that was. I seriously wanted to watch my calories, lose weight and be healthy. Advocare has done all of this and so much more for me. I WISH someone had told me about this years ago. Word of mouth and through distributors is the only way to learn of Advocare and I love helping others lose weight like I have. I have helped over 30 people lose weight and they all love it.
With Advocare I also track all my food with fitnesspal and love seeing the advocare shakes and bars are all on there.
We would believe you if 90% of your posts didn't include a link to your page where you sell your Advocrap.
My Lunch Blog
I agree with PP, I love myfitnesspal, you can use the website or download the free app for Android or iPhone, its a great way to keep yourself accountable.
I would say at a minimum to start, keep an eye on your diet, thats 80% of weightloss for most people, once you are settled into your new life in your new home, then make it a point to get some exercise fit into your routine.
Good Luck!
thank you all so much for all of the positive feedback! i'm definitely going to look in to the things y'all have recommended!
hope 2013 is off to a great start for everyone
Hi Lauren,
