Suggestions?

I got a gift card to B&N for Christmas & I'm not sure what to read next.

My GR shelf is in my signature.

Re: Suggestions?

  • HHmm. You said you were listening to Water for Elephants. I loved that book. Did you read The Help (it's still in my car, J). What about Time Traveler's Wife?

I haven't exactly been reading a lot lately....so I have oldie but goodie suggestions! The girls on here read a lot though, so they'll have good suggestions!

  • I loved the Bronze Horseman, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Outlander, If I Stay...those are a couple of my faves from this year

Daughter of Smoke and Bone was fascinating once I finally got "in" to it. I'll add the rest to my list.

  • I see you liked A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, the same author wrote Joy in the Morning and it's one of my all time favorites.  Also check out Life of Pi; it's in my top 5!  The Time Keeper by Mitch Album is a good read and David Leviathan is worth checking out.

Have you ever read anything but Emily Giffin?  I really like her.

i had no idea Betty Smith wrote a second book. I read Life of Pi a while ago. Mitch Albom one of my favorites. Emily Giffin? She wrote the Something Borrowed books, right?

  • Joy in the Morning is a good book! Also, have you read any Kristen Hannah books? Night Road is amazing!

  • I would also recommend the Emily Griffin books.  I just read Bared to You by Sylvia Day and couldn't put it down.  Elin Hildebrand books are my favorite, but I usually read them in the summer because they are usually beachy.
