Best flat iron/curling wand...

I am looking for recommendations for a flat iron and curling wand. I have curly hair and LOTS of it!

I want something that works all the time and is user friendly as I am not usually so great with doing hair.

Would prefer to spend less than $100 each but if it is fabulous I am open to thinking about it.

Suggestions?

Re: Best flat iron/curling wand...

  • DH just got me the InStyler for Christmas. I've only used it once but it did an awesome job straightening my hair. The wand rotates as you go and it has a brush as well. It came with a directional DVD and easy directions on how to straighten, or curl. Different styles to, lol. He got me pink and black zebra. Instyler.com

  • Look for Karmin hair tools!! I have their curling iron and their flat iron. Fantastic, both of them. The flat iron is under $100 but they have another model that is over, both have lots of features and they're fast as anything. The cheaper titanium one is especially good if your hair is very slow and tough. The tourmaline ones is better for frizzy curly/wavy hair.

The curling wand is amazing, I can tell you that much. Both flat iron and curling iron come with moneyback guarantees and a bag/heat mat if you get it online at this professional hair site called Beyas. I got mine from there. Oh and they even throw in free shipping which I though was wonderful:)

I always wanted to try that but worry that the thing will get all tangled in my hair and I won't be able to get it out of my hair!? Would you say its very easy to use for someone who's not good with hair styling tools?

  • Definately easy to use! I am one of those people who are not good with those things. lol.

  • Flat Iron: GHD

    Wand: Sultra Bombshell

They are both worth the money to me. Also, if you want a blow dryer I recommend Izunami hair dryers. All these products last so you get what you pay for.

  • Thanks PandaMom!  I told myself I won't buy anymore beauty things this month.  Ordered a bunch the other day just waiting for the mailman to deliver the package =).  But thats something I think I really need =)
  • I have the izunami flat iron and hair dryer. Both work great! Good prices on amazon, much cheaper than the retail
