After moments for those with kids....

So I was wondering, what are some ways you discreetly clean up after sex?

Do you use a towel? Do you just throw it in the laundry when your done? Do you have one set item for cleaning up afterwards?

I think sex would be more enjoyable if I wasn't thinking about clean up. (Yes, I am a little OCD about this).

  • Yup we use a towel and just throw it in the laundry after. The clean up isn't usually what I worry about. It always don't make too much noise to wake the baby up ;)
  • I'm really confused as to what having kids has to do with how you clean up after sex?  Do you shower now and are afraid a shower will wake up kids?  I'm not getting this...

I guess I don't clean up 'discreetly'.  I clean up the same way I always did, I walk into the bathroom and clean up.  I pee so I don't get a UTI and use toilet paper to clean up anything else needed.

  • I am also wondering what having kids has to do with it.  We have 6 kids, they are not allowed in our bedroom, so clean up after sex is no big deal

This. I don't have kids of my own, so there might be something I'm missing, but I can't imagine it being done any differently when we have kids than what's done now. My biggest fear about sex with kids in the house is them hearing me, or walking in on me (our bedroom door lock will be fixed and doubled when I get pregnant). Is there something more I should be concerned about? Oh boy, lol. Maybe condoms in the trash can? Wrapping them in paper towels and/or promptly taking the garbage out could fix that, right? Or is it the 'walk of shame' from the bedroom to the bathroom with wide-awake kids watching? We keep paper towels in our bedroom anyway to handle the wet factor, and I guess I'd throw on some sweats or a towel to cover myself to walk to the bathroom... Please explain, OP.

You're not missing anything.  The only thing that changes about sex after kids is that you have to find time for it.  Which can be next to impossible.  And you should probably keep in in the bedroom when they're home.  But that's it. I'm still really confused.  Unless OP currently has someone hose her off in the middle of the living room after sex, clean up practices really don't need to change.

  • Yeah I am not sure what the big clean up is ?

When my wife and I finish she usually just goes into the bathroom and I just put my boxers back on. I am sure there are times when she does not go into the bathroom right away too.

Do I not come enough where there is not a lot of clean up ?

  • There are special water-resistant blankets that are machine washable that are specifically for sex. Our favorite is the Polar Plush Overlay Blanket: http://www.mysecretluxury.com/fetish-fantasy/luxury-sex-furniture/polar-plush-overlay-love-blanket
  • First thing I do after sex is go to the bathroom and pee. Then clean-up and/or take a shower. Seems pretty easy to me. I understand your a little OCD, so maybe you should get a sex towel, that you would lay down on your bed and then clean yourself afterwards with.
