Hair loss, night sweats=thyroid problem?

Just wondering if anyone out there had thyroid issues and the symptoms.  I have had hairloss for a while and doc said if it continues or gets worse then we should get a blood panel screening to check thyroid. Do these symptoms look familiar?

I will call in today to get the screening.

  • Not sure if this helps, but I was watching Dr. Oz yesterday and it was all about the thyroid. I searched his web page but nothing popped out about the episode yesterday, may have been a re-run, but the link below is from his page, it may help.

  • those symptoms could indicate hyperthyroidism. Take the test first to find out, it could be something completely different. But don't worry! I have thyroid problems but they treatment is easy.
  • I'd get it tested. Are you on any BC pills? Hormone levels in the body can create night sweats and/or hair loss as well as other issues.
  • Have you been extremely exhausted and have been gaining weight at a rapid pace.  The same thing happen to me and found out it was my thyroid.  Got on meds and feel so much better.  It may also be low iron.  Def worth checking on though
