I will be in Vegas the 2nd week of January and we were wanting to maybe spend some time in the St. George area so we can go to Bryce Canyon and Zion. I know this is a bit south of Salt Lake City but was hoping you gals could still help me out. First, which is a better place to stay...St. George or Cedar City? Second, should we be concerned about weather? Will roads be suddenly closed b/c of snow, will it be worth going to the parks, is this just a horrible time in general to try and go? I don't mind the cold and some snow, I just want to know if I am to expect dangerous conditions in these parks this time of year. I will be 4 months pregnant at the time so I won't be doing any crazy hikes anyways, mostly just overlook type hikes. Thanks for any advice.
Re: Tourist w/ a question
I would think St George would be the place to stay. Ceder may have some nice hotels too. The weather may be something to consider. See the links below they may help.
