I had never heard of him before this interview...wowsa.  I'm glad Piers kept a cool, level head throughout.  Made Jones look even scarier/crazier and it made his point for him.

  • Jones runs Info Wars website and has a national radio show. His thinks the government controls the weather and FEMA runs death camps. He hawks tons of prepper gear on his show.

DH likes to listen to him (to mock) during road trips. He also thinks it is funny when I start yelling at the radio.

  • that guy is pretty rabid. However, in all fairness so is Piers Morgan. He did his best to control himself in that interview but in an interview about 2 weeks ago the tables were completely turned and Piers Morgan lost his mind at guests who weren't raising their voices to him

    here's the link

he shows a few flashes but really hits his stride around minute 7 and here with another guest around minute 3

I think piers just got a little bit of what he gives which is nasty crazy. You can make your point without resorting to that crap.

  • I have to question Piers use of Jones as the voice of normal gun owners. He knew exactly what he was getting and his goal was this type of rabid showing from Jones. The whole point was to paint an entire portion of people as crazy rabid nuts.

I neither like nor hate Piers Morgan.  I don't stay up late enough to watch his news show. I just happen to see through his stunt.

  • I support gun ownership but it's frustrating when people like this are portrayed as the norm for gun right activists. They give gun supporters a bad reputation. He is clearly very passionate about his beliefs but his delivery was ineffective and inappropriate.

I agree - he definitely gives gun owners a bad reputation.  The better guest was Gabby Giffords' husband who emphasized that they are gun owners but agree that the second amendment must come with limitations -- it is not an absolute right.

Whether or not anyone believes they're the norm, even as a minority they are terrifying as hell. It's not the responsible people who are practical about what they own, how they store it, and how they use it that are the problem with this country and guns. It's the minority who decidedly aren't. So while this interview may have been more of a stunt on the part of Morgan/CNN to show the ultra-radical side, I don't see why the ultra-radical side should be ignored just because they aren't the "norm." It only takes one psycho to do devastating damage, as we've seen repeatedly.
