Do you order your checks from the bank???
I went to order checks this morning from the bank... and they were $20.20 a box! I thought this was insane! I use another bank also, and just ordered check for that account and they were only $14.00. Do you always order your checks directly from the bank, or can I use one of those companies online? It seems sketchy to order online and not from the bank, but they send them to some other company too right? Martha, Beth or anyone else have any insight? Is this a bad idea?
Re: Do you order your checks from the bank???
The only time I ordered through the bank were when they were free. I usually use the online sites for checks, and the names escape me right now.
I only write checks for day care now. I need to switch that to online bill pay too!
no- i get them online somewhere.

yes they can be pricey from the banks - their check ordering companies are pricey.
You definately CAN order them from another company. You will need to send them a voided check and deposit slip usually. Checks Unlimited is one I have used I think.
Ask if they have any free check options. Citizens does - but you have to have a special account type.
i use checksInTheMail.com
you can upload your own pic and they will make that your backround... i havent done that in a while because i just never use checks anymore but they were fast and cheap....
