Baked chicken

What do you usually put on boneless skinless chicken when you bake it?  Do you line your pan with foil?  Thanks!

Re: Baked chicken

  • I line with foil for an easier clean up. I usually put a little bit of olive oil and then Italian seasoning. It comes out pretty good.

  • i dont line my pans...

    a few baked chicken options:

olive oil and italian seasoning (either 'tuscan' spices from Penzeys, or a little salt, pepper and basil)

olive oil and greek spices (either 'greek' spices from penzeys, or salt, pepper, oregano, lemon juice)

    lemon juice and pepper

    honey mustard

bbq sauce (plain, or with sliced lemons and onions)

taco seasoning (goes well if serving with plain rice and a salad)

  • Olive oil, garlic, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Yum!
  • Glass dish- oil, Kosher Salt, cracked pepper. 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. yum
  • lemon juice, olive oil, dill. 1 pound fresh green beans, 4-5 small red potatoes, garlic and 4 chicken breasts. Dredge garlic, potatoes and beans in the juice, oil and dill. then dredge the chicken in it. Pour remaining 'sauce' in the dish. I bake it all in one dish. about 50 minutes at 400, then take chicken out and cover it. Cook potatoes and beans until done. Sometimes it takes another 10-20 minutes.

Another family favorite. 'butter' the chicken with mayo, roll in crushed saltines. Bake. I usually bake @ 375....time depends on if you use bone-in chicken or not.

I have also used Ranch dressing instead of the mayo. 1/2 of my family loves it this way.

I always line my pans w/foil, and lightly coat with spray or oil.

I have another recipe that uses chicken, egg noodles, asparagus, water chestnuts, cashews, and other stuff. I can post it if anyone wants it.
