Winter wedding attire etiquette. And static help

No open toe shoes? No wearing nude nylons? Bare legs ok?

I get so confused in the winter!

Also any idea how to get the skirt part of dress not to cling to you because of static?

Re: Winter wedding attire etiquette. And static help

  • You could wear an open toe with a tight, depends on the shoe. A small toe opening okay, large one that shows 3 or more toes, no. You could do bare legs.

Wear a slip and your dress won't stick to you.

  • You can wear a high quality sheer hose if you wear a closed toe pump. If it's good enough for the Duchess of Cambridge, it's OK for you.

Skip the static by wearing a rayon slip if you can find one. Otherwise- Static Guard and a nylon slip.

  • In a pinch, spray the inside of your skirt with hairspray or rub a dryer sheet along the inside fabric to prevent static.
