Hi ladies!!! I'm very glad to see that the board is starting to move again!!! We're building our house right now and even though is a new construction I know I want to get an inspector to check it before we close (around March of 09). Can you recommend an inspector? Do you have any idea of prices? How far in advance should I contact them? I'm thinking about only doing the "closing" inspection and not pre-dry wall inspection to save some money, but I'll probably ask the inspector about it.
Thanks in advance!
Re: House Inspection
When we purchased our home in 2005, our realtor recommended Tim Bench with JCTB Inspections. He did a great job - it was our first home, and he walked my husband through a lot of things, answered a ton of questions. We learned a lot about our house's quirks. I really can't remember how much it was, but I want to say a few hundred dollars. We only contacted him a few weeks before, but I would call 1-2 months just to be sure.
