Idk if this is the place to post this question... but here it goes. I've never had a brazilian wax done before but I am willing to try it. I got this thing from living social for a brazilian wax. Anyway I was wondering how much tip should I leave and what advice can anyone give me as to what I have to do prepare myself for it? Please all suggestions are appreciated. TIA. I am calling to schedule an appt for on or before valentines day. I hope that is far in advance.=)
If this is not the place for this post please redirect me elsewhere. Thanks
Re: Brazilian wax?
I started getting Brazilians when I got engaged because I was tired of the razor burn and itching caused by shaving. I get them about every three weeks because by 4 weeks it is too long. Expect your first Brazilian to be more uncomfortable than what is normal because your hairs grow in different directions - it will also take longer. BUT once you get the first one over with, there is only mild discomfort. They are WONDERFUL. The hair growth slows dramatically and less and less hair seems to grow every time.
Also, from someone who has experienced strips and dry wax, try to find somewhere that does the dry wax. It is MUCH more comfortable and seems to do a better job. European Wax Center (if you have them in your area) is affordable, they use dry wax, and they are professional and do a great job. 20% tip is normal.
Remember to exfoliate! I use a nail brush (cheaper than buying and exfoliating glove) to exfoliate the skin then apply a serum that helps prevent in-grown hairs and reduces redness.
Hope this helps
