If you can freeze bread, are TORTILLAS ok too?

I know you can freeze bread to save and eat later.  How about tortillas?  I hope they don't get all mushy or something.  And if it's ok, what's the best way to defrost/warm them back up?

TIA

Re: If you can freeze bread, are TORTILLAS ok too?

  • Yes you can freeze corn tortillas. I don't know about flour ones.

When you bring them out, let them defrost out of the fridge.  Or microwave a few at a time, then heat on the stove.

  • I freeze TJ tortillas all the time, since they don't last long in the fridge. I just leave them out on the counter for a bit to thaw out, and never had any problems. You could probably stick them in the microwave too for a bit. I usually get the corn/wheat flour mix tortillas. I also freeze pita bread too.
