need help starting clean eating
It seems so complicated these days on what is good for you and what is not, so I feel like I just need to get back to basics and start clean eating. But when I start to look into it and how to convert things in recipes it looks just as complicated. I just dont know where to start. Any help or advice?
Re: need help starting clean eating
Slow-cookers are your friend. There are tons of easy soups and stews that just have real ingredients in them. Most of the ones on my Pinterest board (http://pinterest.com/kipnus/soups-and-stews/) are super healthy. We also use our slow-cooker for cooking up batches of beans, lentils, and chickpeas, which are delicious over brown rice, or made into home-made hummus. This is one of our favourite lunches: http://pinterest.com/pin/34480753368248908/. Baking your own bread and pitas is easier than you'd think!
Basically, I would focus less on making "clean" substitutions for processed foods (I tried making clean ketchup once, and it was disgusting!), and focus more on cooking foods that naturally don't have processed ingredients. Chili is another great dish, especially in winter!
Hi ladies,
I also want to start to eat better. I am so tired all the time and sluggish and I am a vegetarian. I am in school, so I need meals that are fast and easy. Right now, my husband and I eat a lot of organic premade meals (Amy?s dinners). I need suggestions please
Thank you,
Heather
