need help starting clean eating

It seems so complicated these days on what is good for you and what is not, so I feel like I just need to get back to basics and start clean eating.  But when I start to look into it and how to convert things in recipes it looks just as complicated.  I just dont know where to start.  Any help or advice?

  • Slow-cookers are your friend. There are tons of easy soups and stews that just have real ingredients in them. Most of the ones on my Pinterest board (http://pinterest.com/kipnus/soups-and-stews/) are super healthy. We also use our slow-cooker for cooking up batches of beans, lentils, and chickpeas, which are delicious over brown rice, or made into home-made hummus. This is one of our favourite lunches: http://pinterest.com/pin/34480753368248908/. Baking your own bread and pitas is easier than you'd think!

Basically, I would focus less on making "clean" substitutions for processed foods (I tried making clean ketchup once, and it was disgusting!), and focus more on cooking foods that naturally don't have processed ingredients. Chili is another great dish, especially in winter!

  • Hey! I am a huge advocate for clean eating. I eat a plant based diet and stay away from processed foods. At first it can be intimidating because you don't really know what to do with the food and how to cook it. It can also be difficult to start because our bodies can become addicted to junk that makes us feel like junk. I promise, it gets better! You can do this! I would love to share some recipes or food suggestions with you. What kind of food do you like?
  • Hi ladies,

I also want to start to eat better. I am so tired all the time and sluggish and I am a vegetarian. I am in school, so I need meals that are fast and easy. Right now, my husband and I eat a lot of organic premade meals (Amy?s dinners). I need suggestions please

    Thank you,

    Heather

  • You can live healthy and strong without any restrictions into your diet. I admire you fro choosing organic foods and healthy meals in your diet. But because we are facing a highy foos shortage lately, crops are highly in demand and deteriorating. Vegetables and fish can be a rescue to your healthy eating. Didn't you know that simple food items are beginning to become much more costly such as milk and cheese. You can get a pay day loan cash advance to help pay for your food bill this month while figuring out your brand new budget next month? It can be really annoying when prices go up so quickly because many people have already spent all their money. Learn more at: Payday Loan Cash Advance. Diet doesn't necessarily mean a total less food. I means wholesome food with a thrifty budget. Good luck!
