relocating from philadelphia to baltimore!
So me and my FI are moving to Baltimore sometime this summer and I know absolutely nothing about Baltimore. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend neighborhoods or apartment complexes, mainly my requirements are safe and cheap, which I know they probably don't go together. Also could go a little out of the city but I don't really want to be living around all families. So somewhere for 20 somethings to live would be perfect!
Re: relocating from philadelphia to baltimore!
Hi there...Baltimore is a great town to live in, well I love it anyways.
So we'll need some more info to help you...what do you mean by "cheap", like what are you looking to pay in rent. Were you paying rent in Phillie and looking to stick around the same budget (cheaper...more?)
What brings you to Baltimore, school?, work?
What do you like to do? Outdoors? Art? Music? Nightlife?
We are looking for something under $1500 we currently live right outside Philly and that is plenty for what we are looking for here but I have no idea what that is worth there. He is going to be a cop and I am going to school hopefully at The Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
We will be moving with his mom, so preferably a place thats homey and has a mix of the suburbs and city. I would love to be close to nightlife but that isn't a huge deal.
Mt. Washington area would be fun too, I agree with Hampden
There's lots of places in Baltimore County but will be a mix of families...I live in Parkville (21234), Perry Hall is worth considering (21236), and Towson (21204)
