Question to Republicans or Non-Fans of Obama
I have liberal friends, independent friends as well as friends who lean to the right. Of the friends who lean to the right some don't like Obama because they do not agree with his policies while other friends feel he is an evil man intentionally trying to hurt America.
Do you not like Obama because you don't agree with his policies or do you feel that his goal is to change America for the worse? I am torn. I don't agree with his policies because I am not a liberal voter. There are times I feel he doesn't really care about the U.S. (out of control spending, Benghazi) and wants to hurt this country.

I was directed to that info. You actually hung out in my profile to find posts? LOLOL
No, it's just hard to forget the narcissism posts (as much as I'm sure we would all love to) and the search function works wonders.
I still think it's weird that you actually went though my profile to research my previous posts. Totally weird!! Anyway....this question was not intended for people who like Obama.
this person believes he is the anti christ. in the bible during the end of times the anti christ would mark you with his symbol and if you didn't want it, you would endure hell on earth. he would make it very hard on you
I'm christian, but I always try and see the good in people and not just assume everyone is out to get me. Personally, I just don't agree with most of his policies. I also think that he wants to please everyone. that's why he is not cutting down on spending. PLUS, he is a democrat and they love to spend. He is super liberal and thats just not who I am. I don't believe in all these conspiracy theories, BUT i find that a lot of older people do like my parents, inlaws, etc.
I also despise the fact that he is never willing to compromise with the other side, but expects everyone to do it his way or he will just throw out an executive order.
umm, wow. Should we/can we say the same thing about people who had the same thoughts about Bush? And the whole racism thing is getting old, I have many reasons why I don't like Obama and not one of them has to do with his race. He could be pink, purple, white, blue, black for all I care I still would not thoroughly enjoy him as a person.
I'll take Irony for $1000, Alex.
You asked a question, and she answered it. If you don't want people bringing up things you've said in the past, why would you post anything on the internet to begin with? What is the point of posting if you just want everyone to promptly forget about it?
So you don't like people who have different views on things than you? Ok but that's surprising considering you a Christian. My comment was for people thinking Obama is an "evil monster intent on hurting us." I would say the same to people who thought the same of Bush. Do you really think he is an evil monster intent on hurting us? Sounds like you don't. Sounds like you just don't care for him as a person in which case my original comment was not directed at people with your opinion. I still stand by my original comment: if you think Obama is an evil monster intentionally trying to hurt us, I think those people should ask themselves: does my opinion come from ignorance, fear (paranoia) or racism?
I actually never stated why I don't like him.
But I see what you're saying with the rest of it. And I'm fairly certain it's a fear thing. Fear is contagious so someone makes up a fantastic prophesy about what a person is going to do to incite fear and it catches on quickly. But that is just my guess...
You are so right! While I don't agree with his policies (why I don't like him and his narcissistic personality) hearing all these rumors has made me feel scared about the future. It doesn't help that I am a nervous person in general lol.
sometimes you just have to step back from the supposed fear. The conversation I had with my inlaws last weekend made me totally paranoid. apparently they think that the government will take our retirements eventually. lovely thought right? especially since I just started re-investing. DH told me that would be for a very very long time if ever and if it did happen, there would be a civil war
I'm a non-fan of Obama.
First I didn't like him because of his lack of experience when he was running in 2008. I also disliked him then because he was called the most liberal of all the Democrats and he voted in favor of a bill to allow medical staff to not give medical care to an aborted baby that survived the procedure. His vote allowed for an aborted bay to lie unattended on a table and to die in pain and cold. I thought this was distasteful and heartless.
I question his honesty. He ran on the premise of being a Christian, but then took the "clinging to guns and religion" jab at people in his first term. To me, this denotes someone who isn't AS faithful as he made himself out to be, which IS lying. If he's not a Chrsitian or an adherant one (fine), but he should not have made statements otherwise.
I also dislike him becasue his ACA push through, which attacks so many religious groups and harms many, many small businesses.
Lastly, I dislike him becasue I don't think he cares what financial state this nation is in. See his spending, debt ceiling, and debt issues.
I think he ultimately does have a poor view of this nation and is embarassed of it.
SO basically you dislike him because you're incredibly ignorant. Nearly everything you posted is either factually incorrect or is based on blatantly faulty logic.
I'm embarrassed that people like you are my fellow citizens.
I WISH he were super liberal. But he is not. He's basically a moderate Republican from the 1990s.

Why is it that you only ever hear white people say things like "I don't care if you're black, white or purple!"? And usually, it's racist people who are proclaiming their non-racism when they say this.
Honestly this b.s. argument is getting really old. So if you don't like the policies of someone who does not look exactly like you, you get called a racist. If you let it stand then it's "a ha! see you don't deny it!" if you do deny it then the argument is that it's mostly racists who deny that they are racists. My husband is not white thereby my child is not white. I hate people of other races so much I chose to share the most intimate parts of my life with them. That'll show 'em!
I suppose you are a terrorist? I find that only terrorists usually say that they aren't one.
No, it's entirely possible to dislike someone's policies and not be a racist. But when you grasp for reasons to dislike someone, to the point of just fabricating things, then maybe it's not about what they do or stand for but rather who they are. When you dismiss or deny someone's religion or faith for no other reason than "well I don't believe he's REALLY Christian" - something you have never questioned for a person who was white or 'like you' - then maybe it's really about something else. When you refuse to believe that the person is really an American and continually question the resolved issue of their birth and citizenship despite all evidence to the contrary, then maybe it's more about the person being 'not like you' than their policies. When the president is subject to unprecedented levels of disrespect - when his SOTU speech is interrupted by a *Congressman* screaming "you lie!" and when the governor of a state wags her finger in his face - then something is a lot deeper here than political disagreement.
Do I really need to bring up those pages and pages of "I can't believe that n---er got relected!" tweets to make my point that yes, sometimes it IS about racism?
As far as the "I don't care if he's purple!" argument - I'm just asking why ONLY white people ever say this. And you tend to hear it out of the mouths of people who just said something terribly racist.
Agreed. Obama was pretty squarely in the middle politically of the democrats running for President in 2008. Dennis Kucinich is what a far left liberal looks like. Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer are far left liberals. Obama and Reagan's policies are almost identical in many ways.
I'm fine with someone saying they don't like the ACA, but it was not "pushed through". It passed through the same legal methods we all learned from "Just a Bill".
If someone Dislikes Obama for the debt ceiling and spending, they must have REALLY hated GW Bush. I actually do know fiscal conservatives who thought GW was a disaster as a president. The only conservatives I can even listen to on these sorts of topics are Ron Paul supporters who don't want to pay for *anything*. I disagree with them, but at least they are consistent.
I do wish Obama haters had more facts to go on rather than Fox News talking points.
Thank you, Geraldo!
Super liberal? Yeah, no. That would be nice, actually. You must be extremely conservative to think that Obama is as liberal as they come.
Thank you.
I don't like the ACA either. I think it's a huge gift to the insurance companies, when healthcare reform really ought to have been about trying to get rid of insurance companies entirely. But you know what? It was passed the same way as every other law, by legitimately elected Congressional representatives, and while I may attack the contents of the bill, it would be absurd for me to attack the way it was passed.
So I'm white and racist? I never knew that, glad you cleared that up for me. Thanks!
) lol
Compare him to McCain - lack of expereince in teh 2008 election. FACT.
His voting records on Born Alive bills from 1997 through 2003 Obama voted Not present or NO on 7 of them. Meaning that he wanted infants born alive after abortions to not receive any medical treatment or care. FACT.
He has run his elections on the premise of being a Christian, yet his policies and practices, commentary and actions do not align with Christ followers...swapping his postion on gay marriage, insulting Chrsitians and allowing legislation (ACA) to be passed that puts people in his supposed "group" in very tough spots. See cases like hospitals, churches, schools and companies like Hobby Lobby. FACT.
In 2007, CNN did a piece on Obama having the most liberal voting record of any other senator. FACT botth hat they did this peice and his voting record.
His spending is out of control. FACT. The debt has increased under him. FACT.
Faulty logic...Nope. You just don't like the FACTS against him. Also, I am a well-educated, well-read, up on the news, informed citizen who votes and is involved in the political process. I gave my set of reasons for being a non-fan of Obama. I gave them based on facts, not opinions. These are the inconvenient truths (for liberals) about Obama. Maybe instead of being embarassed by me, you should look to him as your object of embarassment.
A new Gallup poll cites citizens as not being this glum about the country's current state and future since Carter's administration. Hhhmmm that's pretty telling. Again, I'm just reading and reporting the facts here.
I don't know if you personally are. I don't know you at all. I just know that every time I've heard someone say "I don't care if someone's black, white or purple!" it's been a white person who has prefaced that statement with something ranging from subtly racist to blatantly racist.
OK fine. Four years ago he didn't have as much experience as his opponent. In this past election, he had four years of experience BEING THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. So how is that a reason that you dislike him?
His voting records on Born Alive bills from 1997 through 2003 Obama voted Not present or NO on 7 of them. Meaning that he wanted infants born alive after abortions to not receive any medical treatment or care. FACT.
Not a fact. Infants born alive after botched abortions are ALREADY entitled to medical treatment and care under the law.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_alive_baloney.html
Groups like BornAliveTruth.org say laws like the one that applied in Illinois leave discretion to the physician. As the anti-abortion group puts it, they cover fetuses who "are considered viable ? by the very doctor aborting them." That's a fact, and reasonable people might agree or disagree on the merits of relying on a physician's discretion. But for Jessen to claim that she "wouldn't be here" without the legislation Obama opposed is false. Jessen's life would have been protected under Illinois law with or without any of the "born alive" bills Obama opposed in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
For the record, Obama says he would have supported "born alive" legislation in Illinois if framed in a way that did not pose a threat to abortion rights granted by the Supreme Court in its Roe v. Wade decision.
FACT.
Oh really? What did Christ say about gay marriage, exactly? Please cite me chapter and verse. Also, please let me know where in the Bible it says that you can't be a Christian if you believe that employer-based health insurance must cover oral contraceptives.
Your argument is that since Obama doesn't seem to follow YOUR version of Christianity, he must not be a Christian and must be lying about his faith. This is an absurd argument. And not a very Christian one, frankly.
In 2007, CNN did a piece on Obama having the most liberal voting record of any other senator. FACT botth hat they did this peice and his voting record.
So, in one year, he (maybe) had the most liberal voting record in the Senate.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/18/fact-check-is-obama-the-most-liberal-us-senator/
That doesn't make him the most liberal of all Democrats (except maybe, possibly that one year, among SENATE Democrats).
His spending is out of control. FACT. The debt has increased under him. FACT.
The President is not the one spending - you may be (and apparently are) unaware of this, but there are three branches of government - the executive, which is the president, the legislative, which is Congress, and the judicial, which is the Supreme Court. The President cannot pass a budget alone. In fact, he can't pass a budget at all - all he can do is sign what Congress sends to his desk.
But yes, you are correct that the debt has increased under him. That does not make it "his" debt.
Still embarrassed by you.
I am a Christian.
I support gay marriage, abortion and unprohibited access to contraceptives.
I am no less of a Christian because of this.
