I woke up today with the greatest news ever!! My insurance agent called and said they sent someone out to see the damage on the guys car and it came up to, DRUM ROLL please!!!
$4,800 and one week of rental car at $40 a day, we don't have to pay any deductible and that everything will be settled tomorrow morning!
First of all, WOW that's an almost $4,000 difference!! And I'm glad we just decided to go with the insurance, they took care of everything and its much better in the end 
Then, I cleaned the house, cleaned the front yard, took my puppy a shower, now I'm going to take my puppy to get her nails trimmed and painted, then come home make dinner and wait for my husband to get home and cuddle. I'm on a roll and feel like I can still do so much with my day but I'm out of ideas :-/

Yay! So glad that everything worked out. I knew that price seemed outrageous, but $4000? Why is wrong with people??
Also glad you were able to pamper your pooch today. And it sounds like you've definitely got the whole housewife and mommy roles down already.
It just upsets me because DH and I were being so nice to this guy and trying to get everything settled and for him to try to pull a fast one is sad!
Its ok though everything is settled and you don't mess with the insurance! Lol!
