Please tell me about the seat you have on your bike for M. Want to get one for J as soon as it gets warmer. Any pros/cons to riding in front vs. riding in back? Other helpful tips? Thanks!

I prefer the front seat 100xs over his back seat now. The back seat really messes with the balance of the bike. That being said not all bikes fit front seats well. So you need to see what will work with your bike.
I love the yepp seats they are made our of croc material so not absorbing heat/wipe able etc. But they are pricey. Other brands like Bobike are good and the ibert gets liked a lot too.
Take him to rei and try on a million helmets. One will fit best.
