Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? just watching the girls play together, they are so darn cute
    • Lows? didn't get the cleaning and grocery shopping done
    • Eat/make anything good? DH made PW's Penne a la Betsy last night, yum
    • Watch anything good? a few episodes of Sister Wives, lol
    • Read anything good? no
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I do not like DS's wrestling coaches, I think they take advantage of him. Actually, I don't like the whole wrestling program which I feel guilty about because he loves it.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? It's Catholic Schools week so so we get to visit DD's classroom tomorrow. Oh and of course the Superbowl :)

    Oops forgot this part:

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? I left a half day Friday so luckily I wasn't in the mess

How was your drive in this morning? fine other than the stupid salt trucks blocking all 4 lanes of 695.

    • Highs? Brunch with my college roommates and their husbands/kid was fun. I haven't seen them in a long time. DS took an awesome 2+ hour nap on Sunday.
    • Lows? I was feeling crappy most of the weekend and I got absolutely nothing accomplished.
    • Eat/make anything good? Not really.
    • Watch anything good? A million old episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
    • Read anything good? No.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? DH and I are starting our no-live-TV-for-a-month experiment today. We will only watch Netflix, Hulu, and whatever is available online to see if we can live without live TV (we will make an exception for the Super Bowl).
    • What are you looking forward to this week? My birthday is this week. I think we are going to dinner at PF Changs this weekend with ILs. It might be a good week!

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? Crappy. I took 2 detours on back roads (which were clear of traffic but not so much clear of snow) and my commute time was still doubled.

How was your drive in this morning? It was fine. Neighborhood roads were icy, but main roads seemed okay.

  • Highs? Nothing really. It wasn't a bad weekend but nothing special happened either.
Lows? DH had to work all weekend so I only saw him for dinner Saturday night and Sunday night.
Eat/make anything good? We went to India's (one of my favorite places!) on Saturday and Ellicott Mills Brewery for dinner last night.  The pretzel sticks with german mustard were amazing.
Watch anything good?  No time for tv this weekend.
Read anything good? No time for reading
FFCs, vents, AWs, etc?I posted a few weeks ago about a friend that cut ties almost three years ago and I had no idea why.  She reached out to me this weekend to explain why she did it. Though I don't understand what she was going through, I can appreciate her explanation. DH is commuting to DC every day then coming home and working a few more hours. He is also working on weekends.  I know it's temporary but I feel bad that he is dead tired.  On the plus side, I scheduled him a 80 minute deep tissue massage on Saturday for his birthday.  I have gone this entire month without a baked goods or cheese. This is huge for me! I am really proud of myself. I bought one bag of soy cheese to make a pizza as a special treat and that was it.
What are you looking forward to this week?  DH is off Friday and Saturday (I convinced him to take off for his birthday).  I'm looking forward to spending some much needed QT with him.  We are going to happy hour Friday and Saturday he is going for his massage while I go to a baby shower and then I'm taking him out for a nice dinner. Bonus:How was your drive home Friday evening? It was pretty slick.  I was going to run some errands but I went straight home instead. How was your drive in this morning? N/A I am still at home

    • Highs? Didn't have many plans and had lots of time to relax.
    • Lows? Can't think of anything.
    • Eat/make anything good? La Madeline for lunch and made a peach pie.
    • Watch anything good? The first episode of The Following was pretty good and I like The Carrie Diaries. I also watched the season finale of American Horror Story.
    • Read anything good? I'm reading Gatsby's Girl right now which I really like. I also read Lost in the Forest by Sue Miller and The Other Side of the Bridge by Mary Lawson and really liked both.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I can't think of anything yet.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Payday is the only thing I can think of.

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? I left work at 2 and went to Calvert County for horses and they were fine.

How was your drive in this morning? It was fine. It was just sprinkling and there was no ice.

We only have Apple TV with Hulu+ and Netflix.  The only thing I really miss is Bravo (Real Housewives lol)  For the most part, our shows are available on Hulu just a day or two after they air. Certain major events (like the Presidential debates) were streaming live so we didn't miss them.

    • Highs? Spending yesterday at the Children's Theatre for auditions for the "little mermaid, Jr." It's the younger production for kids age 8-14, and there were 120 kids auditioning -- they were so cute, but it breaks my heart to know that most of them won't get cast!
    • Lows? I went to a friend's house Friday night, and there was some ridiculous drama about my friend's upcoming wedding (that I'm a bridesmaid in and have been helping to plan). They were both drunk and got really upset (about not inviting me somewhere and keeping it a secret, even though I didn't care at all) and I was sitting there wondering why this was such a big deal. Ridiculous.
    • Eat/make anything good? Hmm...not really. Chicken salad last night; I can't even remember what we had for dinner on Saturday!
    • Watch anything good? I've been watching a ton of West Wing on Netflix
    • Read anything good? I read Jennifer Weiner's "Fly Away Home." I liked it enough to spend a few hours reading on saturday to finish it.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I bought a keratin express treatment from Living social for a salon in Severna Park a couple months ago, and finally went to get it done on Saturday. It's suppose to make your hair less frizzy, smooth and shiny and cut down on blow-drying/straightening time. Well, I didn't shampoo for 24 hours like I was told, but I blow-dried and straightened it last night. Other than perhaps it taking less time to style (though I also chopped off about 6 inches last week, so that probably had a lot to do with it, too), I'm not noticing a difference at all -- and that's disappointing.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Starting rehearsals for CTA's traveling troupe Wednesday, a group I'm producing. If anyone goes to the BarBayQ in May, we'll be performing!

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? Terrible. Our office closed at 3:30 as a preventative, but by the time I got to Crofton, route 3 was terrible. It's the first year driving my bug, and it's a light car. I'm terrible at driving in snow. We immediately left to go to our friend's house in Arnold because we had plans, but it took us an hour to get from crofton to arnold.

How was your drive in this morning? Our company follows the federal government delays and closings, and they are delayed until noon, so I'm still at home! Gotta start getting ready soon though.

  • Highs? Met a friend for lunch on Saturday

    Lows? nothing really

Eat/make anything good? tomato and mozz panini Saturday at lunch was awesome

Watch anything good? Watched Mad Men...almost done season 4 Read anything good? no

FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I was sick and off work all last week so it was really nice to get back in the swing of things this past weekend

What are you looking forward to this week? Manicure tonight, church tomorrow night for bible study and Superbowl work party

Bonus: How was your drive home Friday evening? I wasn't at work on Friday but DH and I went to dinner with his parents.  I'm not afraid to drive in snow/ice and we had no problems going from Perry Hall to Essex that night  How was your drive in this morning? Slow on 95 but that's actually pretty normal so really there were no problems on my end

    • Highs? Didn't have any time to relax. I'm the chapter advisor for my sorority and it was recruitment this weekend, so I was in CP all weekend.
    • Lows? It was just busy
    • Eat/make anything good? I had Chipotle on Sat and DP Dough on Sunday. Yes, ate out both days since I was in CP.
    • Watch anything good? Nope.

    • Read anything good? Nope
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I absolutely love the girls I advise, but by last night at 11pm, we were all giddy and exhausted and I just wanted to be home and not with 20 year olds.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? I have lots to get done this week, so just hopefully crossing things off my to-do list.

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? Thankfully I was in CP until 11pm, so by the time I left the roads were fine.

How was your drive in this morning? We had a delay today, so it was nice to sleep in and no traffic!
    Visit The Nest!
    • Highs? Getting a few hours alone with DH, we bought him a new suit and had dinner with friends on Saturday night.
    • Lows? Picking up the girls on Sunday and finding C is sick. She didn't sleep at all Sunday night and she sleep pretty crappy last night too.
    • Eat/make anything good? Crabby tots from Silver Spring Mining Company which was the only thing good I had that night.
    • Watch anything good? We watched another few episodes of Once Upon a Time.
    • Read anything good? no
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, etc? I'm coming down with a cold now too, and yesterday I could of and would of loved to stay in bed all day, but I keep the girls home with me. I didn't get anything done, which was okay. I'm at work today, but I'm so exhausted and I really want to go back to bed.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? We have been invited to a 1st birthday party and I can't wait for the Raven's to kick some 49'ers butt! Smile

    Bonus:

How was your drive home Friday evening? It wasn't to bad, but I left at 3:30 and by the time I arrived in Harford County at 4:00 the roads were covered.

How was your drive in this morning? N/A, I didn't go anywhere yesterday.
