While I was outside prepping some of my landscaping for spring, I noticed a relatively old piece of ivy was looking kinda puny. I was digging it up to bring inside and plant in a container until it was restored to its former glory and, of course, the root went on and on and on. i was pretty careful but after a solid 5 minutes of digging i accidentally cut through the root and wasnt able to pull up the whole thing. will it survive without the end of the root? i did manage to get up about 8 inches of it. thanks
