Tell me about your honeymoon! We just got back from our cruise to the southern Caribbean and I gotta say it was seriously AWESOME. We went 4-wheeling through Antigua, swam with dolphins, went snorkling with sea turtles, rode horses in Puerto Rico, parasailed, and soooo much more.
What did you do? Will you be doing it again for anniversaries, etc?
Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity. --Albert Einstein
Re: Honeymoons!!!
We went to Sandals in St. Lucia for a week. It seems like ages ago, almost 7 years. We stayed at one resort, but hopped around to the other two. We went horseback riding, river tour (I'm sure it was called something else), drive-thru valcano. Lots of eating, swimming, drinking, relaxing.
For our anniversaries we normally do dinner out. For our 5 year anniversary we to a B&B in PA and did the wine trail.
We also went to Sandals in St. Lucia. We didn't do any excursions though. We literally just went to the pool or beach every day. It was awesome because we were so relaxed.
For our first anniversary, we went on a cruise with our friends. Since then we just go out to a nice dinner and usually stay over in a local hotel while someone else keeps our kid overnight!

We to El Dorado Royale in Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon (in 2006!)
We've done a variety of things for our anniversaries - a few times we've gone away overnight or for the weekend and a few times we've just gone out to dinner. It is nice to have a 1-2 night getaway when we can swing it!
We went to Sandals Grande Antigua for our HM in 2008. We will probably not do a Caribbean destination for our anniversary again since we had a hurricane on our HM.
1st anniversary - went to Vermont with our dog
2nd anniversary - went to Charleston
3rd anniversary - trying to buy a house so we just went to OC for a day with our dog
4th anniversary - bought a house so we just went to Rehobeth for a day with our dog
5th anniversary - not sure if we'll do a trip or not
We spent 14 days in Hawaii visiting Oahu, Kauai, Maui and The Big Island. It was wonderful.
1st anniversary: spent the weekend at a B&B in PA and did the wine trail
2nd anniversary: sadly, I'm drawing a blank on this year. :-(
3rd anniversary: went on a hot air balloon ride
4th anniversary: we were in Cancun for a cousin's wedding
5th anniversary: spent the weekend in NY (my first trip to NY)
I doubt we'll do anything this year since the baby is coming weeks before our 6th anniversary.
We did a 10 day Panama Canal cruise and it was amazing! We went snorkeling in Aruba, climbed a waterfall in Jamaica, visited a sloth rescue sanctuary in Costa Rica, got massages, ate and drank a lot... It was Sooo much fun. We would definitely cruise again and I'd love to spend more time at most of the places we stopped.
We've taken a few small anniversary trips (OC, NYC, etc) but no major trips. I'm in desperate need of a nice vacation.
We spent a week in Ireland and a week in Scotland. We booked our own hotels, transport, etc. It was awesome.
Frankly, I don't remember what we have done for most of our anniversaries. For #5 we went on a 5 day cruise to Bermuda. For several of them, DH has been out of town for work. We don't usually do anything special.
We went to Disney World for 10 days for our honeymoon in 2009.
1st anniversary - Went to Jacksonville for a long weekend.
2nd anniversary - Living in FL, so we went to Disney for dinner and a show.
3rd anniversary - Living in FL, spent the weekend relaxing at the beach.
4th anniversary - I'm not sure if we are going to do anything this year. We are still trying to get our house in order.
We went to Jamaica, although it was really more of a one-year anniversary trip. We went to Couples Tower Isle for 7 days and 7 nights and really loved it. All-inclusive, climbed a waterfall, went on a catamaran cruise and hung around.
We're going to Cancun in August for a similar vacation.
