I read this in the paper on Sunday and kept meaning to post it.

Essentially, this catholic hospital is breaking with the church's beliefs over when life begins. Last February the church sued the government because it was going to have to start covering birth control, etc. This hospital wouldn' t provide PlanB, etc. because it didn't want to stop life from beginning.
However, it's now being sued for the wrongful death of three, by a man who lost his wife and 30 week old twins. The hospital's attorneys are arguing the 30 week fetuses were not people and therefore it can't be liable for their wrongful death.
Interesting legal concept, but it totally goes against everything the Catholic Church has stood for. I'm interested to hear how the big church and the court come down on this one.
