Grandma visit, check.....$5400 to fix plumbing, check...........

OK - what did I miss? My grandma just left after a fantastic visit.

Of course, she couldn't shower today before catching her plane since our FARKING PLUMBING BACKED UP due to roots infiltrating the sewer line in our front yard.

Man, I should have become a plumber..........

Re: Grandma visit, check.....$5400 to fix plumbing, check...........

  • Holy moly.  How does one become a plumber?  LOL
  • Yikes!!!!!!!

I went to turn the heat on at the preschool the other day to warm it up a smidge and it wouldn't come on.  Gas company came out Friday and red tagged my unit .... now I'm paying $5000 for a new furnace and A/C.

    I feel your pain.

  • We have similar issues with our plumbing too .... but ours involves both the showers & toilets! Damn roots!!!! I can't even count how many times we've had to call the plumber in the last few years to come and snake our pipes, so frusturating!!!! Hope they can resolve your problem quickly!

  • Oh man!  Glad you had a good time with G'ma!  Sorry about the plumbing!
  • omg how is that $5400??? We've had that happen twice but it only cost like $20-50 for them to put a router thing in to cut the roots.
  • Ditto Snow-Goddess...did it do major damage to your pipes??  We've always been lucky and just had the guy out to do some roto-rooter type work to cut out the roots.
