Long-Distance Valentine's Day!

Alright. I need some serious help here... Since I've met my fianc?, he's been away for Valentine's Day. He's in Kansas, and I'm in Maine, so I need some really great ideas to surprise him this year!! Any thoughts??

depending on how much money you want to spend, there are a lot of professional photographers that specialize in budoir photography, they can put it into a book and everything.  It's nothing raunchy or anything like that, just something a little sexy in a little black book for your man to take with him on business trips.

 

All of the photographers I have looked at have galleries you can look at to see the kind of work they do.  I prefer a female photographer, but that is just me.

If you don't like this idea, you should still look it up and check out just to see what they have to offer, and your fianc? would love it!

My husband and I have had quite a few long distance Valentine's Days (and anniversaries, and birthdays) - we sometimes have a Skype date and order each other food to be delivered.  I usually order his favorite kind of pizza for him, but you could do any type of food in his area that delivers such as Chinese or Thai.  Pick a time that works for both of you, send each other food, and have a Skype date.

I agree with the boudoir photography suggestion - I had some photos done for my husband before he deployed, and created a custom calendar out of them as well. 

We have spent a lot of time apart (for the first 2 years of our marriage, we were only physically together for 7 months of it). When we had skype dates, I liked to pick a movie that we could both watch together at the same time and have popcorn or food of some kind. And then of course move on to skype sex - I usually tried to make it more special for him by having new lingerie (lots of great ones out there for Valentine's day!) and doing a little strip-tease. If he was going to be gone a while, sometimes I would take a series of photos of me undressing (photo one: jacket off, photo four: shirt off, etc) and then send him one photo each day (and also deprive him of seeing me naked in any other way during that time).

I also liked sending him care packages when deployed - for Valentine's day, I would fill it with red/pink/white tissue paper and confetti and all sorts of small Valentine's day goodies. Candy, silly toys/gifts like heart shaped glasses, Valentine's day themed playing cards, pictures of me/us, teddy bear, balloons, faux flowers, etc. Oriental Trading, the dollar section of Target, and dollar stores were my favorite stores for that kind of thing.

Thanks, everyone!!! I was thinking about the boudoir photos, but they wouldn't have been ready in time, and I really do like the ordering food idea!! We've already thought about phone sex, but our son sleeps in the same room as me while John's away... But thank you anyway!
