Flushable poop bags

Anyone used flushable poop bags like these - www.flushdoggy.com

Curious how people like them. Curious how they hold up on the walk home and if anyone has had issues with the flushing.

Re: Flushable poop bags

  • No.  Just No.  Don't flush anything down the toilet but the stuff that supposed to go in there and toilet paper.

My guess is that if they hold up for the walk home, with wet poop, they are not going to become soft enough to flush down the toilet.  and sewer systems are made for stuff to disintegrate not just become soft.

If you want to save the environment use these like biodegradable bags in the trash.

  • Thanks for your opinion, but it doesn't sound like you're familiar with what I'm speaking of.

The bags are made of PVA, a fully biodegradable product - same as the coating on medicine tablets, detergent tabs, hospital laundry bags (they get thrown in the wash sealed). When it absorbs the right amount of water it totally dissolves into its parts - water and carbon dioxide. I see no reason this would work differently in my toilet.

Biodegradable bags do zero good when they're placed inside a regular garbage bag, and when left out of a plastic bag they still only "degrade" into tiny pieces of plastic.
