wedding thank goodness

I wouldn't let either of H's sister's boyfriends be in formal photos in case they broke up.

Last night, one of H's sister's boyfriends broke up with her.  My first thought? "Thank goodness he wasn't in any formal photos!"

Then I got sad and felt like I was dumped.  This was out of the blue as far as I can tell.  We are going to see H's family today and I think we are going to bring her flowers.

 

And thank goodness we are all past that point!!

While I don't think you should have been so strict about this, I'm glad it worked out for you....  I feel like it's never appropriate to exclude BF/GF of siblings just because there isn't a ring on the finger.  It really can hurt their feelings.  This was the case of one of my SIL's at the other's wedding.  She is still upset that she was never asked to be in any photos, and now documentation of that day will always exclude her, even though they are now married too.  Even though I really think that both of my brothers will marry their GF's down the road, we did an immediate family pic with my parents and brothers and H, and then another iteration with the GFs added in.  It literally took another 30 seconds of time.  That is just my opinion, and although I'm talking to all married women, I thought I'd speak up.  Again, glad it worked out for you, although you feel like you were dumped too!
