Hi!

My in-laws are coming up at the end of the month and want to explore Wilmington some. I wanted to ask you what some of the *cool* local things were to check out. We like doing a little bit of everything. We've been to the zoo before and we're planning to eat at Cosmos for BF because we heard it was good, but any insight on things we're missing is appreciated.

Even though we're local in Bear..Wilmington is a different world. Haha.

Hope you and Teddy and H are doing well :)

  • Ahh... Let me think about this one. LOL

I went to high school in Wilmington and I work there now so you would think I would know it like the back of my hand but I don't.

Rockwood Park on Shipley Road is really pretty. They have a mansion on the grounds that is open sometimes for tours. I also really like the Hagley museum. It's an old duPont estate/mill that is really cool. They have a lot of houses and work spaces that you can explore.

You could always go just over the line to PA to Longwood Gardens. That's one of my favorite places. It's pretty anytime of year.

The Delaware Art Museum on  Kentmere Parkway is nice too. It's sort of in the middle of is neighborhood of giant houses. I always think they're pretty to look at too lol

If you aren't committed to Wilmington, I really like Old New Castle. It's nice to wander around town and there are a lot of cool little shops and restaurants down along the river.
