I don't know who the hell Walrus is, as Crystal's screenname is "Wallace," but I digress. Unless that's some sort of attempt at an insult, in which case you make no sense.
Also, Crystal was referring to the fact that we deflected from this board, where we were extremely active posters, in attempt to escape the immaturity and inability to speak freely so we created a new board. Now, this board we had once helped create is now dead and rotting because you all must've gotten tired of the constant rainbows and unicorn farts stinking up the place while our off-board is still alive and kicking. Then you claim to just have moved to a different board? Or maybe you didn't like certain posters and decided to make your own private board with specific, acceptable members? How ironic.

Those that wanted to, went to a Facebook group... mostly because Facebook is easier and more convenient for most people these days (it's easier to access on a mobile device, for damn sure). And more private, obviously. There are 20 of us there now and we've all just stayed close over the years. And I'm glad to hear that you ladies have too. Even though the group divided, I still think it's neat that our weddings brought us all together.
And like I said, I still check in here because I'm the Mod, but it's basically a ghost town. Feel free to post-at-will.

I felt compelled to come over to see what all the fuss was about. And I have to say that this is all very sad. We went from being the most active to it being absolutely dead. At least the party still lives on in the BS.

Just because this exact space is dead, doesn't mean the idea of the two groups are dead. Obviously. The BS is still going strong and the smaller group is still going strong too. And I think that's pretty great, personally.

I kinda think it's neat that y'all have your own group, honestly. I remember wedding planning fondly, and just because some of didn't get along is no reason that everyone had to fall out of touch. We just split into two groups of like-minded women.
Although, I will say that the Walrus comment was ridic.

I totally agree. I'm really glad we had such a big collective while we were planning. It made the whole thing even more memorable, IMO. And I've truly made some lifelong friends. I can't imagine life without them.

I will, however, clarify that the immaturity I was referring to was the group members who would throw a sh!t fit whenever someone posted anything slightly mean, even if it was (GASP!) completely honest and justified. The fact of the matter is that we were a tight-knit group of ladies who truly wanted honest opinions about life matters, hence why we posted them in a pretty anonymous forum looking for feedback. We were lucky enough to end up staying close on a different board, becoming friends, and following each other through life for the past few years. What sucks is that we had to make an exodus because new people came into that group who not only couldn't handle honesty but weren't respectful or respectable enough to provide that honesty to others. I'm happy I'm in the group that does provide that honesty when I need it, even if it hurts to hear it.
That said, those quotes of mine you were so handy at quoting was that honesty. Oh, and me being sassy, which you'd appreciate if you knew me at all but I'm happy that you don't.
