Stupid Nemo
So I am one of those people who has been wishing for lots of snow....but not tonight! This is the weekend my hubby is flying to TX to pick up Grant and bring him here for the week. His flight out was supposed be 7am tomorrow am out of Philly and he was supposed to land in Philly at 830 tomorrow night. Both of those flights were cancelled yesterday. Now he has to go out of B-More at 730....and get back in at 445. If his flight out is delayed at all, they'll miss their return flight. And now he's gonna leave tonight to go get a hotel room so he's not driving at 330 in the morning. Ugh, I seriously hope he gets out and back okay. I'm seriously over the ex wife living in TX!

OH NO! I hope it all works out! I I really don't think Baltimore is getting much, a dusting and a few hundredth of an inch of ice.
I know it sucks with H's ex in NC, I can't imagine TX. But soon enough Grant can fly on his own and I'm sure that will be easier.
What a PIA. That was smart of him to get a room tonight.
Luckily it all worked out with the flights...they're getting ready to board the return flight!
H and the ex moved to TX in 2007 for her job. Grant was born in 2008 and SHE decided they should move back east since all of their family (both sides including great grandparents for Grant) live in PA. H got his current job and moved here in Dec 2008.... She was staying down there until the house was sold, then she'd move up here. Change of plans....she filed for divorce in February 2009 instead. He couldn't move back down there because his company paid a ton of money in relocation fees that he would have had to pay back. Personally, I don't think she ever planned on moving back here...or she still would have. All she ever wanted was to be a mom, so as soon as she got that...she was done. This is also the opinion of others who know them. I just feel bad for Grant that he is so far from all of his family.
Oh well, H and I met shortly after, so I can't complain too much...because if things hadn't happened when they did, we wouldn't be together. It's just gonna be hard after the baby is born because I won't get to see him nearly as much and H won't be flying down there quite as often
From the sound of it, I doubt she was ever planning on moving back either. What an awful thing to do! You're right that it worked out for the best because you two ended up together but it still sucks that Grant is so far away. It's especially bad because everyone was expecting them to move back east.
At least your H and Grant are on their way back! Enjoy your week with him.
