If you do your manicures

Which cuticle cream do you use?  This year I put myself on a budget, and one of the things I am trying to cut out are my regular visits to the nail salon.  My cuticles seem to be dry.  TIA

Re: If you do your manicures

  • I have had good results from Sally Hensen products. There are quite a few at Target.
  • You should soak your hands in very warm water for a few minutes, then apply Sally Hansen Instant cuticle remover. Wait a couple minutes, then take a birch-wood stick/cuticle pusher and push back your cuticles, they will end up pretty much melting off. be sure to wash your hands, as that stuff is pretty strong. Then proceed with your manicure. Be sure to use a base and top coat-they really do make a difference and are formulated for separate purposes. I like the ones from Orly. Then, once your manicure has set for a couple minutes apply Nourish Cuticle Oil from Hand and Nail Harmony. ( I recommend ebay or amazon, it might be tricky to find in stores). Another good option is the Lush Cuticle Cream called Lemoney Flutter. Or good ol' Aquaphor.

    Thank you so much!

  • Not a problem! Let me know your cuticles are doing after you give it a shot.
  • Finally picked up what you recommended for the cuticles.  Waiting for my nails to dry.  So far so good :)
  • I use a cuticle remover the instant one from Sally Hansen, I also use the Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle cream and I have some cuticle oil I got from Sally's I use the oil as often as needed to keep my cuticles hydrated.
