Same crowd of 20ish adults and 10ish kids mostly over 10. Party will be after a 140 baptism so it will be 230ish before starting. I thought I'd do a mix of apps that could make a meal.
Veggie tray
fruit kabobs (melon)
baked brie tray with grapes
spanikopita
turkey and ham pinwheels
tortellini with cheese olives and grape tomatoes marinated and skewered
I saw some frozen crab cakes at costco as a possible addition or deviled eggs?
Re: Menu check- baptism
Sounds great - I'm down
If you want to fool with the frozen crab cakes, they'd be a nice addition, but the ones I see always have to be pan fried and that doesn't seem conducive to this to me. Deviled eggs can always be made in advance and are convenient...but I know you're sick of them. Shrimp cocktail? It's effortless and would give you a protein.

What if you made individual servings? Like 3 shrimp in a shot glass with cocktail sauce at the bottom or individual skewers. When it's portioned out like that, do you think they'd take additional servings?

I don't have enough shot glasses for the first, but the second looks awesome. Niece has manners and wouldn't actually gorge on the shrimp. SFIL not so much. The second looks pretty tasty. Recipe?
Image google :P No idea.
