Valentine's day dinner (a day early)

We had our Valentine's day dinner last night.  Whoa, H went fancy this year!  It was a really nice place in Bel Air, MD.  The only complaint was the 3 girls beside us were loud and annoying.  Most the time I lost train of thought whenever I tried to talk to H.

H made me get the 4 course pairing option, he just got the 14 oz steak haha.  I got cream of crab soup, spinach salad with poached egg and bacon vingerette, scallops and sweet potato, and a tres leche cake with berries.  The soup was with a chardonnay, salad with some red wine I never heard of, scallops with a white I never heard of, and the dessert with a sparkling mascoto.  I think the moscato with the berries was my favorite... the two together was AMAZING.

It was a nice treat, but honestly, I think I'd just like a wine tasting.  Or like Va La and have a little cheese with each one.  But I love H thought of this for me.

This annoys me more than anything...I hate tables that are close together or loud people who disrupt my dinner.  Kinda stinks when you are out for a nice romantic dinner and are dealing with annoying people!

This dinner sounds amazing, even without the wine...I think we will be going here for our anniversary in October ( so I can have the wine)

I've never been wine tasting, but have always wanted to go.  I pass this place all the time, is this a good place to go?

It was 3 girls celebrating one of their birthdays.  The one girl was just ANNOYING.  So loud, and at one point talking about MY FOOD.  I so wanted to say something to them, but H said to be nice... it's just a really small space.  There's a separate tasting room I think they would have been better suited for... but they were trying to share appetizers etc.

It was definitely amazing!  I'd recommend it for special things like anniversaries when you don't mind paying more than usual.

Brittany, Janet, Andrea and Andrea's sister and I went to Va La this summer when our tubing adventure got cancelled due to weather (too cold in AUG!).  It's all red wine but one. I enjoyed it. The lady was awesome and explained the history of the place, the wine itself, I think it was the most informative tasting I've ever had. If only we knew we could keep the glasses!  I want to go back to get my glass!
