need help to find a hairstyle

Hi All,

I've been thinking that its time to get a "real" hairstyle but just don't know what I want. I will ask my hairstylist but was hoping to get an idea before going in.

I'm 41yrs old ,have medium thick wavy hair that is mid back at this point . I have bangs but usually cant be bothered to blow them out so just pin them back and put my hair in a pony tail. I've got small kids and VERY little time in the morning. I want something thats professional appearing but easy peasy to do in the AM.

I'm overweight and so my oval face shape is also wide and pudgy right now .

Any ideas?

thanks:)

  • I also have wavy medium length hair.  I am a size 12. I grew my bangs out to a layer at about my chin. I have long layers all around. The waves are nice if I let it airdry and but some smoothing serum in it. It blow dries fairly quickly. I searched google images and Pinterest to find pictures to show my hairstylist. Good luck!

  • Lots of different hair styles on Pinterest.
  • Hello :) I'm a hairstylist of 3 years and just wanted to say wavy hair ALWAYS looks nice with medium layers. Maybe take your length up enough to be healthy again (usually about 1 inch) then have your stylist take your layers to just above shoulder length and blend... You can use some mousse (sp? lol) or a spray gel to scrunch it and enhance your natural texture.

I usually tell my clients if you already are pulling it back into a pony tail every day(as well as clipping the bangs back) dont really expect to feel motivated to spend a lotta time styling once you cut it. Try and find a style, maybe in a book or a magazine, that is still long enough to pull into a pony, but light and feminine enough that you can still easily style :)

    Hope that helps!
