Lows? All I wanted on Friday was black bean soup in a bread bowl from Panera. When I got there, they were out of both the soup and the bread bowls. I was so upset lol
Eat/make anything good? We had a belated V-Day dinner at The Melting Pot last night. It was sooo good. I really like the way they redid the menu so entrees are more personalized. Previously, I would just eat the potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli that came with the entree and DH got all the meat. Now I get my own vegetarian entree!
Read anything good? No
Watch anything good? We watched Haywire, which was ok and Hotel Transylvania, which was cute.
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I had to have an awkward conversation with my dad this morning. Basically, my parents have been watching my sister's kids since December 1st but staying at our house. She isn't looking for other daycare and she needs to. This arrangement has gone on for too long. The original agreement was my mom (just my mom) could stay at our house twice a week but now, both of them are here almost every day. DH and I can't take it anymore. I don't want to be rude but they need to leave. Dad said he would talk to my sister this week about really finding daycare. We have been more than generous but letting them stay here and unlike my sister/BIL and my parents, DH and I are happily married and enjoy life together alone.
What are you looking forward to this week? I have training Tuesday-Thursday from 2pm - 10pm. I am excited to sleep in and get stuff done in the morning before work.
We were also pleased with how they've changed the menu! I generally pass on the seafood items, so now I was able to get an assortment of meats I knew I'd like.
Weren't you experimenting with a vegan diet? I just ask because the cheese course is my favorite part

LOL DH loves it all so previously, the "Big Night Out" was awesome for him because he got all different meats meant for two people! He was a little sad he got less meat but really, it was plenty.
My goal is to adopt a "more vegan diet"... I have a protein shake for breakfast made with organic milk and abstain from dairy/eggs for the rest of my meals. However, for my sanity, I am allowing for some "cheats" (special occasions). So since January 1st, I've only had butter at Stoney River for DH's birthday and then both cheese and chocolate last night. The cheese and the chocolate are of equal importance at The Melting Pot and there is no way I was skipping either!
Absolutely!!

Highs: On Friday we re-joined our local YMCA and I'm ecstatic. Saturday night was an impromptu girls' night out and it was nice.
Lows: The stomach flu from hell hit my like a ton of bricks on Sunday morning just as we were leaving for a nice brunch. I spent all day in bed and in the bathroom. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. And because of it, I had to cancel plans with my cousin.
Eat/make anything good? Soft pretzels with cheese sauce at the movies. They always hit the spot.
Read anything good? I just started The Indigo Spell, the latest in the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead.
Watch anything good? A friend and I saw Side Effects on Saturday night. I thought it started off slowly, but it ended up being pretty darn good. I was dying to see it, and I'm glad I got to!
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc. I was sick for a day and my house fell into disarray. I went downstairs this afternoon and looked around for the first time in over 24 hours and wanted to kick my husband. Sink full of dishes, dishwasher full of clean, piles of dirty clothes just left all over the place, and Mia clearly not told to clean up her toys before bedtime.
What are you looking forward to this week? Mia has a Daisy Scouts event on Friday night, which gives me an excuse to see some of the Moms with whom I'm friendly. Beyond that, I've got nothing. I'm just glad it'll be over.
Highs: Got my dress for my friend's wedding
Lows: didn't work on the taxes like I had planned to
Eat/make anything good? We went to this awesome little Mexican joint on Eastern Avenue for lunch yesterday and it totally hit the spot
Read anything good? I started reading Ellen's book
Watch anything good? Finished Mad Men on Netflix and was happy to see that Season 5 is showing up OnDemand in piece meal so I'm all up to date
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc. More like a lame confession...had off yesterday so we did a little day drinking with some friends and I had the worst headache last night from it
What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing! It's nice to have a clear calendar!
Hello!
Back on the Nest after a few months' absence...married 4 months, living in Baltimore, thought I'd say hi! Here's my weekend:
Highs: getting started on the page design of my first book and then Chinese food and Dr. Who on the couch with my sweetie
Lows: the next day when there was still homework left to do :-P
Read: just finished MWF Seeking BFF, about friendship post-marriage
Watched: Dr. Who reruns (I forget which season it is--11th Doctor, the one with the Silence)
Made: chocolate brioche pretzels--my first bread other than pizza dough
