Dog sitting rates?

Quick question, what does everyone think is a reasonable rate for 5 nights of in home dog sitting?  Our sitter lives and goes to school nearby, so there's no big traveling, we have a fenced in yard so the dogs are pretty low maintenance.  She won't give us an amount so we're kind of lost.  We will be giving her $20 in quarters for meters at school to make it more convenient for her.

Well, when we board we pay $19/day per dog, I looked on craigslist for dog sitting rates and it looks like it's about $17-$20 an hr or visit. HTH!

We had a dog sitter come for one day (we left at 5am and came home at 2 am the next morning).  She said she usually got paid $10-20 per visit, depending on the circumstances, how many dogs, travel, etc.  We ended up just paying her $20.  It was easy, and cheaper than taking the dog to the kennel for 2 days in our circumstances.  I would say, though that you could easily get away with paying less per visit since she is coming for so many days.... maybe the $10-$15 range? I guess it depends on how many visits she would be making too

Our dog sitter charges $40-$50/day and that includes 2 - 1 hr visits, no overnights. She does walk both of our goldens and feeds them in each of the two visits/day.
