menu ideas when hosting lunch
I'm hosting my husband's relatives this weekend for lunch. There will be 2 adults and 3 kids joining us. I've been trying to come up with good lunnch menu ideas that aren't too complicated but keep running out of ideas. Do you have any suggestions?
Re: menu ideas when hosting lunch
Chicken Salad is something easy to make the day ahead for a crowd.
This twisted mac and cheese is good, serve with a side salad.
my read shelf:
You could do a taco bar. Heat up all the meat at once then let people choose between hard or soft shell and toppings. Serve with a side of rice.
Pulled pork in the crockpot then make into sliders and serve with macaroni salad or cole slaw.
Soup is a good lunch one and you could serve it with a veggie tray, rolls/bread, and salad.
i was going to say taco bar as well.
or even a hot dog bar would work too. just have a bunch of different toppings.
i also like to do roast beef in the crock pot when we have people over for lunch. get some nice fresh rolls from the bakery, provolone cheese, red peppers, horseradish. yum!
or chilli is another favorite.
sausage and meatballs sandwiches or pasta.
