Inviting Strangers from the Bar home early in the morning when he's drunk

Re: Inviting Strangers from the Bar home early in the morning when he's drunk

  • ummmm does your Dh have a drinking problem?

This would not be okay in our house. My Dh would never bring someone home a)without telling me first and b) that he did not know.

You are definitely not over reacting. This situation is ridiculous and your Dh has a ton of growing up to do. You situation scares me both for your physical safety and your emotional well being.

That old Andy Capp cartoon comes to mind -- the one where the husband comes home in the wee hours wasted and his battleaxe wife is waiting up for him at the door with the "Sh!tfaced again, eh? SO what's new" look on her face.

    I can just picture it:

He sways in at about 4am ish, during the milkman's hours, with a gigging loaded chick under each arm. "Honey...this is Crystal and this is Spring. They're my new freinds....They're holdin' me up. Can they stay here?"

OP: your problem is YOU...because you tolerate this mess. Get rid of him; grow a set and DO IT.
  • Holy crap I would kill DH if he brought home random strangers from the bar. I don't even care if they were guys and not girls. Not ok.
  • This man has no regard for you whatsoever. I would dump all of his sh#t on the street if he does it again.

    And him, along with it.

Get rid of him because of the drinking.  I am willing to bet he's got a hell of an alcohol problem and it may even be such that he may not even remember coming home with all of downtown North Bergen NJ when he sobers up.
