Old throw pillows--now what?
Sorry for the re-post, but I tried this on Green Living with no response:
Hello, I have absolutely had enough with my old (11 years old!) throw pillows. They are not pillows in shams, but sewn shut pillows. They are coming apart at the seems, misshapen, slightly stained here and there (2 cats and 3 dogs will do that). I feel like it's time to freshen up a bit. So, between the bed and the sofas, I have I have 9 pillows that need a new home. Based upon their condition, I do NOT feel that they should go to a thrift store--I am a thrift store junkie, and I do not feel that these are in good enough condition. I was thinking animal shelter, but my friend scoffed at me, and advised that they only take blankets, sheets, quilts, etc. I am not crafty at all, and I don't know any crafty people who could do anything with them. So, what do I do what NINE old pillows?? I can't bring myself to throw them into a landfill.

I was going to say recover and add in pillow stuffing as needed. Also, many stores sell pillow covers (Pottery barn, etc.) you can get less expensive ones on eBay.
