Re: Thanksgiving in Ak

  • My DH coachs hockey, and they have a Turkey Shootout.. so i guess hockey is what we are doing!!! haha and dear, the ice has been ready for a LONG time!  Hope you have a good day!

  • Going to my grandparents house for dinner! :]
  • I've never posted on this board before...I grew up in Anchorage but moved to Maryland last Christmas. Every Thanksgiving we spent it at the hockey rink - my brothers played and my dad coached for the Turkey tournament thing. We went sledding a lot too. :) Have fun in the snow (I miss it)!

  • I grew up in Maryland and now live in Alaska.  My family is still in Maryland though so in years past we have gone to dinner at a friends house or had people over for dinner.  Last year we decided to go out for dinner on Thanksgiving and it was wonderful!  So, this year DH and I and I a friend are eating Thanksgiving dinner at Simon and Seafort's. And since we don't have to cook we'll probably spend the day hanging around the house or ice skating.  Or maybe shoveling snow since it's supposed to snow all week!

Wow! We are just the opposite. Where in MD did you grow up? My parents live in Edgewater/Annapolis and we live in Millersville...Anne Arundel county.
