I promised a review :-)
We went last night for my nieces birthday party, she turned 9. It is like Chuckie Cheese, with regards to the tickets/games but I liked it better. Much less crowded, not as many games. Large jungle gym/play area. Pizza is better (I think it's ordered from a pizza shop). The party areas are actually rooms where you can keep the kids contained.
They also had bumper cars--the older girls liked them, but DD was too small. They had a neat ball shooter room, where the kids were on teams and competed to hit the targets.
More bang for your buck with regrads to tickets/tokens, when you hand your tickets to the clerk to count, they give you a card with how much you have to spend. It almost seems like each ticket is worth 2 "dollars".
Cons-- a little run down, probably 1 in 4 machines was out of order. The party staff wasn't as efficient as other places we've been to. Very hard to find your kid when they're crawling around the huge play area--but there is only one exit area so that makes it better.
Re: Lala--Tropical Fun Zone
Thanks so much! We actually live closer to tropical fun zone than to Chuck E cheese so maybe next time they ask for chuck e we will take them to this place and hope they don't notice.
Better pizza is a big bonus because that Chuck e cheese pizza leaves a lot to be desired.
