Monday Gripes

Admittedly I'm struggling this morning to function and little things are annoying the heck out of me.  For example, when a coworker sends out emails, every single one she sends out is automatically set to request a "read receipt". Lady, you really don't need to know whether or not I read your email reminder that we're not getting water delivery today but tomorrow instead for this week only.  This news is not life changing and for God's sake, please change your automatic settings.

Re: Monday Gripes

  • ugh, I have a coworker who requests a read receipt for every single email. it's so annoying. It will ask me if I want to send the notice back that the message has been read and I always click NO just to be contrary, hahaha.

I am not as bad as some Mondays but man, my house was such a mess this morning when I left. I cannot keep it clean for the life of me, but we are always cleaning, if that makes any sense. A huge part of the problem is a 16 month old who thinks it is hilarious to chuck his food all over the kitchen.

  • I have my work email setup automatically for read receipts, not because I care if you actually read my email, but so you cannot claim I never informed you about something or never sent you the document, etc.

You do know there is an option for you to not have to click "send response" or whatever it prompts with read receipts.

    I do the same thing.

Jen - I hope he doesn't get laid off. Fingers crossed for you!

My gripe is we're in the process of planning our friend's bachelorette party and another random invited guest is trying to get us to completely change the location and the amount of time we're going for. I'm about to tell her to suck it.

Yes, of course!  I just find it annoying that people do this for every single email.  I manually set the request if its something that I care if someone reads or if I need proof they received/read it.

  • It's tuesday but I'm going to gripe bc its my first day in the office.

My work that I did at home yesterday was all ugly and I'm so annoyed by it (like the cases I had were ugly, so its going to take me longer today bc I have to ask judges, etc).

We have one pumping room at work and two of us have been using it for the past few months with zero issues.  Two girls just got back from maternity leave and are now using it and I'm annoyed because they left a note saying "I will be using this room at X and Y times, maybe we need a schedule to figure times out."  But it was clear that she IS pumping at her declared times, and when she said "schedule" she meant a schedule so that we didnt try to pump when she was going to be there.  Not a schedule so that we could all work around each other.  So I'm annoyed just by the principle of it.   I'm also annoyed because I am not opposed to the idea of a schedule - it would be very useful - but the girl i've been sharing the room with is SUPER opposed to the idea and is all up in arms over the very suggestion, so she keeps biitching to me about it and I'm like, uhhhhh, 4 people using one room, maybe some sort of general time frame would be helpful.

It's clearly going to get annoying very fast and I'm just going to bury my head in the sand for the next 2.5 months lol.
