Update on me

Some of you know this but others don't and I'm not trying to be deliberately obtuse.

MIL was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer a couple of weeks ago.  It's not hopeless but the prognosis isn't great either.  H and SIL are really all she has (H's dad died about 12 years ago, and there's no other family nearby) and right now she's not doing too hot with caring for herself.

This news came on top of our ongoing struggles with our house.  We bought our house at the end of September, and thought it would need only minor cosmetic upgrades.  We are now hemorrhaging money despite having bought the house with plenty left over for renovations, and things are breaking faster than we can fix them.

There's other little stuff too....the relationship between H and my parents is rocky at best, and it is trickier right now because they know we are stressed and they are trying to "help".... I think most of you know I've been followed by a perinatologist since our A/S but at least last week we found out the abnormalities are almost all resolved and baby is probably fine, so that's one less thing....Also our garage was broken into about 3 or 4 weeks ago....my dog had to have 4 teeth pulled last week and was in pain and couldn't eat, but she's better now so that's good.

Really, MIL (and the house to a lesser extent) is the major stressor.  It is time consuming especially for H, and it has been emotionally very difficult.

Anniversary
