adding color to white dishes *need help*
Hi Ladies!
I needs some advice. I have 12 place settings the white Sophie Conran dishes. I also have quite a few other pieces in white to i.e. platter, pitcher, gravy boat etc. After I received theses dishes at my shower they came out with a few other colors as well. I love this color and this color. I would like to try and mix some accent plates or something to add some color to my white dishes. How should I try to go about this?
Thanks in advance!
I also plan on purchasing the soup bowls and teacups.

Not knowing how the rest of your kitchen or dining decor is, I like Celadon better than Biscuit, it looks more clean and modern.
If the color theme in your dining is more like beige and you are going with biscuit, I think you would need to add some accents of gold and dark brown to give it some life, otherwise it will look really bland.
if you really want to mix in the dishes, then go with the luncheon plates, bowls and teacups. you would end up with full white sets, and then extra colored pieces to 'change it up' if you wanted.
personally, i love the way white dishware can go with an ever-changing table (especially if you use the set for various holidays). i'd be more inclined to purchase placemats or napkins in other colors and forget about the dishes.
another option would be to buy the servingware in a color, so that your dishes are one color and the serving pieces are another color...though it sounds as though that would be more of an investment
