Ok dog experts, this is where you come in.
My mutt of a furbaby has gotten what looks like an allergic reaction maybe 2 or 3 times over the last year. I'll come home from work for lunch and he has bumps all over his face, body and legs. He is a lab shepherd mix and his hair is short like a lab. The bumps don't come through the hair, but the bumps make his hair look "rippled" I guess. The first 2 times I took him to the vet within hours. They didn't seem too concerned, but they gave him a shot to help the bumps go away quicker. The third time, I gave it a few hours before I did anything and it went away.
I originally thought it was from the stuffing in our couch pillows. They were starting to rip and stuffing would come out of them and be scattered all over the floor. I figured he would roll around in it and it would irritate his skin. Easy enough.. get rid of the ripped pillows. Fast forward to today and I come home from work, his fur is all puffy and NO STUFFING on the floor. I've been home for almost 3 hours and the bumps are all gone.
Here's a recap: bumps that make him look puffy and last for 3-5 hours. Another thing. he acts completely fine! Doesn't drink extra water or anything, acts like his nut job self.
Any experience with similar situations would be great!
