The Bachelor 2/25 - spoilers

So what did you think? I didn't get to watch it but read the recap on ew.com - I'm a big fan of AshLee, so I say "AshLee for the next Bachelorette!" I was kind of shocked about how she exited though, apparently very angry and not letting him talk at all, etc. I'm sure it was because she was hurt, but I incorrectly pegged her as the kind who'd be all tears and begging him to change his mind since she "loved him".

Did the chemistry really pick up with Catherine this week?? Cause to date, I just haven't been seeing it. They seem like goofy friends more than a couple about to be engaged!

Re: The Bachelor 2/25 - spoilers

  • I liked AshLee, but she was just a tad on the serious side for me. I like a little more of a sense of humor in my Bachelorette. I'm pulling for Des!

I was shocked by AshLee's exit as well! She's always been so syrupy sweet that I expected tears and a speech about how she just wants HIM to be happy. I did not expect the silent fury! There also seemed to be an underlying accusation that the remaining two were just there to have fun and not as serious about him as she was.

I have never really seen him with Catherine, but who knows. Editing has a way of leading me in the wrong direction. DH supposedly knows who wins (he read an online spoiler), and although I wouldn't let him tell me he says so far it's on the money.

    Cannot wait for WTA!

  • I think because of her background, AshLee is really needy and clingy.  I think she'd bring a lot of issues to a marriage.  DH and I agreed she needs some therapy.  (Armchair therapists!)  She was straight up crazed last night.  Like the look on her face - I am shocked she didn't pull out a dagger and stab Sean straight through the heart.   She had the crazy eyes, and I don't think she was acting for the camera.  (But if she was, she should go in to acting!)

Catherine and Sean spent a lot of time sucking face - so perhaps that was the increased chemistry.  HA!

Mandy, I read the spoilers too and yep, they are right on the money, but I'm still surprised!

  • Ditto Amber - AshLee was sweet, but I have always sensed a bit of cray cray there, and last night some of it came out.  I am also tired of all the girls getting voted off talking about how they "let the person in/were so vulnerable/blah blah blah".  That's how love and being in a relationship works!  The fact that it can be difficult to open up and the risk of getting hurt is not unique to you!

I do see some passion/flirtiness with Catherine and Sean, but I don't really see any substance and I think she would bring some issues to a marriage too.

It took a while for Lindsay to grow on me, but I do like the two of them together. It seems really obvious that Sean has strong feelings for her, the families seem like a better match, etc. but knowing the way that they edit things, this makes me lean towards Catherine.

  • I'm home with a sick Liam today, but I had to log on or this post! I agree about Ashlee being too serious, though I did feel bad for her I think she was blindsided. I hope the producers had a therapist on hand for her....not saying that to be mean, but with all of her childhood issues I think the poor girl will need one!

  • I'm actually surprised more people don't react with that kind of anger. She was PISSED!! Though, you make me swim through a creepy cave and let me go afterwards I'd be pissed too.

  • Also, I usually hate it when they show what random Joe Blows are tweeting during a tv show.  I just don't care what "kissmekate42" has to say about it.   But, some of them last night were really funny.   And were the "jenniferweiner" tweets from the author?  Because hers made me LOL.

Amber, what did those tweets say that were so funny? I may have to watch it anyways now just to see the cray cray AshLee reaction and the tweets!

  • In finding these - it was Jennifer Weiner the author.  She's hilarious.

Sean wonders if Catherine can settle down and start a family. Her mouth say yes. Her nose piercing says, "I'm outta here."

"Every part of my being wants to be engaged to Sean next week." One very special parts want to be engaged with him tonight!

Catherine is the cat's meow. If @SeanLowe09 and I don't end up with her, I'll be disappointed #Bachelor #notsupposedtohaveafavorite

Amber those are so funny! Thanks for posting them! Smile

  • I think I'm going to start a drinking game from now on when watching the Bachelor where we take a shot every time someone uses the word "vulnerable".  it's not just this season either, I swear, it's used excessively every single year!
