I am about to go pump. Right now, there isn't a designated space (hopefully HR will have this in place within the next couple of days). I am likely going to be using a conference room, but they do not lock.
I am terrified someone may walk in on me, so I am considering making a sign. I don't want to blatantly say "PUMPING: Do not Enter". What is a more subtle way to say that while also getting the point across that no one should come in?
Also, I am picking a conference room right now because I want it to be semi-inconvenient so they ensure a space is provided soon.

After 31 cycles and two losses, we've been blessed with a healthy baby girl!
Congrats to both of my amazing TTC Buddies, tdmd09 and sb2006!!

Re: Pumping at work
I like this too!
My coworker has a sign that says "pumping in progress: enter at your own risk" and she put a pic of the pump and a baby on it. It gets the point across!
I really like pp's idea about putting a chair behind the door as added protection, too.
I was able to work out a deal with IT and am using one of their empty but restricted rooms that only a couple of people have access to. It has a desk, phone and computer docking station so I will be able to work while I pump.
I pumped once this morning and will be heading home here in a minute to nurse S for lunch. I don't think this is going to be too bad.

"Please do not enter.
Thanks,
Amberley"
That's what I put for a sign. People knew I just had a baby, so it wasn't rocket science as to why someone shouldn't walk into the office I pump in. I also put a chair against the door so if someone is that dumb, it's harder to open.
my blog
i have had several coworkers walk in on me even though i put 3 signs on the door. Now i make a sign that is laying OVER the door handle, so they literally have to lift up the sign to enter.
It says "DO NOT ENTER. COME BACK IN 30 MINUTES"
i had one that said "In Use" and people still tried to come in.
I have a laminated picture of a cartoon cow that I stick on my door. But that's to be funny and probably isn't appropriate in your situation.
I liked the suggestion of "temporary lactation room" and I think it's awesome that you're trying to be inconvenient

I kind of love this idea, Grey!
