  • I finally got off my butt this weekend and went to the gym Saturday and Sunday.  Sat - C25K W2D1 and Sun I did the cardio/ST circuit (very curves like, but you can adjust the weights on the ST machines).  I've been SO SORE since... but I'm going tonight and Friday for D2 and 3 of running.  Saturday I might do the circuit again...

    Friday - I was the highest weight I've ever been... so that was jarring awakening.  I know what I need to do and DO IT!

  • Oh I feel you on the heaviest weight I have ever been front.  That's where I am now.  I feel like this is the weight that I should be if I were pregnant. 

    We have been doing pretty well though.  We have gone out to eat alot, but we are making good choices.  We also went to the gym 3 times last week and plan on 4 this week.  Hopefully I will see a little bit of a change in the next week or so.

  • The scale says I went up in weight, but I always do during my period, so that's no surprise.  I've been doing good, back to lifting every other day, and reading on the eliptical during my lunch at work.  Need to start doing abs on the days I'm not wifting.  I really hate doing abs, so it's hard to get motivated enough to do them. 
  • I didn't mean for this to be so long.  I needed to vent and every time I let this out to H or friends, they all say I look fine and it's all in my head.  When my clothes don't fit, it clearly is not in my head.

     I didn't go to the gym as much as I wanted to last week and I am really upset about it.  I was helping my parents and doing manual labor, so I thought it was a good substitute, but I only lost 2 ounces.  It was really disheartening.

    I thought I'd be able to get on track this week, but Monday I went to a pizza making and wine tasting class with one SIL and couldn't get to the gym.  The pizza and wine was delicious!

    Yesterday, another SIL made dinner for H and I because my brother is out of town.

    Today, my class was rough and my co-workers were complaining about nonsense(I truly feel like I'm still in high school sometimes at work) and I just felt like eating crappy when I came home.

    Tomorrow I won't be able to work out and I won't be able to Saturday.  

    I am frustrated, upset, feeling fat, PMSing and bloated, moody from PMS and just want to never eat again.  Wearing the same 3 pairs of pants to work is getting old, but I only have 3 that fit.  I don't know what to do to change.

    H says I look beautiful and loves me regardless, but I feel fat and gross, and like I already said, my clothes don't fit.  Saturday I am going to see Cinderella on Broadway with MIL and both SILs.  I was planning to buy new jeans for it since I found out MIL was taking us.  Now I don't want to waste money because if I ever do lose weight, they'll be too big in a few weeks and I won't be able to wear them.

     

  • sjs1013 - I feel the same way, really I could have wrote your post!  I'm down to 3 pairs of pants for work too.  One used to be really loose on me, and now it's TIGHT and I almost have to  put them in the I can't fit pile... it's upseting.  H doesn't understand.  He made the comment he would love me if I was 400 lbs and I just started crying.  Poor guy, I know he was trying to make me feel better, but I was like I don't wanna be 400 lbs, or even 200!  I really don't think I'm eating more than usual, but I have lose muscle mass from not working out.  I'm making small goals each week and when they become a habit I make new ones.  This week I'm striving for 8 cups of water, and gym 3-4 times a week.  I want to run 3 times and if I can go a 4th do the ST circuit.   They said it takes 21 days to make a habit...

    I'm on sparkpeople.com and I love the groups on there, but I like the food tracking on myfitnesspal.com better.  They both RAVE about the fitbit one that tracks your steps, stairs, calories, sleep etc.  Sooo, that's what I asked H for my birthday this year.  There's also the bodymedia but I didnt like how visible it was and I heard it's software has bugs and some people were breaking out from the skin contact.  Anyway, both sync up to you computer or phone AND both websites I use.  I love numbers so I hope this helps me...

    I understand both of these statements!  I've been up and down on the scale ever since I quit smoking 2 years ago.  I never had to watch what I ate or workout before that I was just naturally skinny. 

    Once I quit it was like my metabolism changed forever.  I've gotten my weight back down, but then I have a bad habit of slacking for a month and it all goes back on.  I think that sucks since it sure takes longer than a month to take it off.  It's really hard to get to actually follow through on the working out consistantly thing.  Other things in life happen, and it's important to see family and have a social life.  They tend to get in the way of being healthy. 

    My advice to you is to buy enough pants at your current weight to last you a work week.  So two more pairs.  Keep working at your goal to lose.  Life still happens and because it is so much easier to gain weight than lose it, you may need those pants again someday. Who knows maybe they could end up maternity pants. I just know that having pants that fit make me feel better about how I look in clothes.  It's nice to put on pants and not say, "AHHH where did this muffin top come from?!"  That helps with my overall lookout on life, and gives me more motivation to workout because I don't feel down and bad about myself all the time. 

    Sorry if that got long, as girls I think we tend to torture ourselves too much about our weight.  The more positive you feel the more energy you have.  Start focusing on the things about your body that you like, and you might find that you'll work out more.  I know it's working for me.

  • Seipel and Mana, thanks for the support!  I think my weight gain and PMS got the best of me this week, especially since I thought I lost about 3 pounds. 

    Seipel, I think you're right about buying a couple of larger pants.  I usually refuse to buy bigger clothes, just make changes, but I'm not and I need to be comfortable at work.

    Mana, I tried MyFitnessPal for a few days and really didn't like it.  I am going to look into the other websites/apps you suggested.

    I kind of let this week be a crap shoot food and exercise wise.  I am going to start fresh on Sunday and stick to it this time.
