Pot Roast / Italian Beef - Roast Question
Do you use the same kind of roast for when you cook a pot roast and when you cook italian beef? Have you found that you like one roast better for a pot roast and a different roast better for shredded/italian beef (I'm thinking when cooking it in the slow cooker). Just wanted to get some of your thoughts! Thanks!
Re: Pot Roast / Italian Beef - Roast Question
im not 100% sure what italian beef is, but you did mention shredded. When i make a pot roast i usually use a rump roast (its cheaper) since you would be using the slow cooker for the italian beef and then shredding it, i would just go with a rump roast over a more expensive cut. It will cook for a while and become very tender in the slow cooker.
If i was making something like a roast beef, i would use an eye round.
