Hi! I've never posted on this board before. I'm Nic, DH and I got married on 10.12.12 in Saratoga Springs, NY.

I'm wondering if anyone here subscribes to Birch Box (www.birchbox.com)? I signed up for their waiting list over a week ago, but it said that the average waiting time was 4 weeks before you could purchase a membership (DH signed up after me for the men's waiting list and he was almost immediately allowed to subscribe for his first box...so not fair!). I'm super excited to start my subscription and get my first box, but I hate the waiting time. Can anyone tell me if it really takes over a month before you can sign up to start getting the boxes?

It could take over a month for yours. My experience with them was horrible. They send you a video of the products you are supposed to get. I got maybe one or two of the products featured. The rest was junk - I actually got a piece of chocolate as part of one gift. I dropped it after 2 months.

Order a gift subscription and send it to yourself. There is no wait with the gift subscription.

Thanks for the replies!  I actually got my invitation this morning, so it took a little less than 2 weeks. I think I missed the deadline for the March box, so I guess I'll get my first one in April. I think April's box is supposed to be health and fitness related so I'm excited!

My March box arrived today. It was one of the better ones in awhile. Last month's was so so for me. I didn't know about the health and fitness box. I'm looking forward to it!

I've gotten BirchBox for about 2 years now and I love it. Yes, some months I don't love all my samples, but other months I love everything in the box. I also really like that if you review each product that you get you gain points - which you can use to buy stuff from their site. They also send you 20% off coupons every few months, and free shipping on full size products if you buy it the month you get your sample.
