Smith memorial playground question

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
Saturday, March 9, 10:00am - 12:00pmKids 5 and younger and their caregivers are invited to join The Junior League of Philadelphia at Smith for a free event to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with crafts and storytime. Sounds cute. I've never been to the playground so I was wondering would this be something indoors (is there an indoors?) or just in the playground? Just wondering if it would be a good idea given today's weather will most likely have everything wet tomorrow am. Thanks!

From what I can see on their website, there's a humongous playhouse that is open 10a - 4p Tues-Sun in addition to the playground space.

The actual playground is not open in winter. Totally stinks.

I know you have been before...not worth it for an indoor event?
The indoor part is really fun for the younger kids- however in my experience their 'events' tend to be VERY crowded and it just isn't enjoyable with the crowds inside. It gets VERY loud and older kids tend to run around and not mind the little ones
We will join you for a playdate once the weather is nice and the playground is open!

The playground opens in April. I have taken the kids just to the playhouse several times over the winter and they LOVE it, especially the 2nd floor toy room. They did just re-do the basement in a car theme.

That's good to know. I pretty much only go in the summer b/c I haven't been impressed with the inside. But we haven't really explored the whole thing. I love the playground and can't wait until they add the water features they've been talking about for a few years.
Water features would be amazing!
Also, a real snack bar. They need that.
